Vinyasa Yoga Group ClassVinyasa Yoga (aka Flow Yoga); can be fast-paced or more mellow; emphasis is on fitness & strength but also very much on the breath. Each movement is synchronised with the breath. Most Vinyasa classes will feature Sun Salutations. Vinyasa classes link or connect asanas (poses) together to make a sequence. These can change from week to week, class to class, teacher to teacher; the variety's one of the many enjoyable aspects of flow classes. Take the class at your own pace & enjoy.
Gentle YogaA Hatha Yoga-based class; very gentle in its approach & slower-paced than some other forms of Yoga. A class perfect for those looking for a more relaxed & easy-going practice; also suitable for those recovering from and/or managing chronic illness & injuries.
Gentle Yoga, because of its innate gentle nature, is perfect for those who cannot or very simply, do not want to meet the demands of a more physically active class.
Absolute Beginners YogaThis 7-week course is a 'true beginners' class. It will be foundational, systematic, accessible & FUN in its approach & paced for you, the Beginner. It's Hatha Yoga-based, props will be used & it's ideal for those brand-new to Yoga &/for those returning to the mat for the first time in a very long time. Into & Back To YogaWhether you are very new to Yoga or have a couple dozen classes under your belt, this is a great class for you to develop your Yoga practice in. It will give you strong foundations & Yoga fundamentals & there is focus on relaxation & fun too. Yoga is unique in its long-term ability to help strengthen & tone our bodies, improve our flexibility & enhance our sense of well being. Hopefully, this will be the continuation on of a lifelong practice for you.
Hatha Yoga FlowHatha Yoga - or, just Yoga! Hatha is really ALL Yoga in a sense; as in the physical asanas part of Yoga. It is like the roots of the Tree from which grows all modern physical Yoga. On a class level, Hatha Yoga will typically mean a general and/or gentle class, most often without 'flow' aspect. Hatha Yoga classes are a great starting point for developing a Yoga practice. Hatha is more accessible & 'low-key' & yet still provides all those key flexibility, strengthening & de-stressing benefits.
