Tuesday Evening Gentle Yoga 28th November 2023
A Sukhasana aka 'Easy Pose' special - in a way Yogis. Let's see what we can do to make this pose end up feeling a little more doable, a little more comfortable. Use one or two blankets for this practice if you like; no need for any other props. Please do not force or push here (or in any Yoga practice). Do what you can, to limits that might mean effort but never any pain or strain.
Monday Morning Hatha Yoga 20th November 2023
This 20 minute practice eases us into our Monday & into our week. As the weather gets colder & the 'season' gets busier, it's a good time to slow things down a little on our mats Yogis, especially when it feels like we can't in our day-to-day lives. Props: Two blocks or a chair would be helpful but are not 'necessary'. A bolster (or two pillows/big cushions) & a blanket likewise for our final asana (pose) would also be good.
Saturday Mellow Yoga Flow 4th November 2023
Saturday Strap time Yogis, as promised earlier in the week. Shoulders, Chest & Upper Back get a lovely bit of attention, releasing tight muscles & creating room & space, both to breathe & to move more comfortably. Our & hips legs get quite the nod too, with some strong work here, balancing with the strap in Utthita Hasta Padangushtasana A as well as 3-4 lunge variations (Anjaneyasana, Ashta Chandrasana (Crescent Lunge) & Utthan Pristhasana (High Half Lizard). Some Prasarita Padottonasana (Wide-Legged Forward Fold) variations included here too as well as Parsvakonasana (Extended Side Angle) & Virabhadrasana II( Warrior II) with Gomukhasana (Cow-Face) arms, assisted by the strap. This 65 minute practice packs in a fair bit but is also taken at a nice steady pace. Do make sure you take a nice long Savasana, your legs in particular will thank you! A straptastic start to our first morning in November Yogis, waking us & our muscles up nicely. Steady paced class, featuring Prasarita Padottonasana (Wide-Legged Forward Fold), Ardha & Full Uttanasana (Standing Forward Fold), Virabhadrasana II (Warrior II), Shalabhasana (Locust) & more.
